Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Redwood City, California

Description

We are in search of a Medical Receptionist to join our team in the healthcare industry in Redwood City, California. This role centers around providing front-desk support in a hospital setting, handling a variety of administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the facility. This short term contract employment opportunity offers an engaging and dynamic work environment. The duration is about 3 weeks and the hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming phone calls and provide information to patients

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures

• Maintain an organized filing system for patient records and documents

• Utilize electronic health record systems for data entry and tracking

• Communicate effectively with non-English speakers, leveraging bilingual skills in English and Spanish

• Provide reception duties, welcoming patients, and visitors upon their arrival

• Resolve patient inquiries by providing accurate information promptly

• Maintain a positive and professional interaction with patients and colleagues

• Ensure all patient data and information are handled confidentially and ethically.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical receptionist role or similar position within the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

• Experience in answering inbound calls and managing multi-line phone systems in a professional and efficient manner

• Fluency in Spanish language to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations

• Familiarity with receptionist duties including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and providing information about services

• Skilled in organizing files, maintaining patient records, and other administrative tasks

• Competence in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, medical professionals, and staff members

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
