Job Summary:

AFO is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to wo rk in our Huntsville, AL location on Redstone Arsenal. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

  • The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials.

  • Operator may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust and make emergency repairs toequipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: * *

  • 4+ years of backhoe operation experience. 

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain a CAC.

  • High School Diploma / GED. 

  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures

  • Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

  • ACTIVE CDL
