Microsoft Corporation Technical Product Manager II, Azure AI Customer Experience Engineering in Redmond, Washington
The Azure AI Customer Experience Engineering team within the AI platform product organization works on the Azure AI growth strategy, engages the largest customers and partners in the world to co-innovate, incubate, and improve our core AI platform from scenarios utilizing Azure platform Services, and develops new scenarios and product categories. We do so by building and infusing AI technologies in real world solutions and extending the signals from real world patterns to build robust, scalable AI platform services and products. Partners are the cornerstone of the Azure AI strategy and Independent Service Vendors (ISVs) are the multiplier effect for AI revenue growth, so providing technical enablement for prioritized ISVs is a key priority for the business.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our group and help us lead the next generation of Azure AI Service solutions. In this role, you will partner with Global Partner Solutions (GPS) and product teams to develop a cohesive technical enablement roadmap and strategy for prioritized AI ISVs to get them to accelerate their AI solutions and increase Azure AI/Azure OpenAI service adoption. You will be a technical expert across the Azure AI portfolio and especially around Azure Open Artificial Intelligence (AOAI) and proactive in enabling partners to build more AI solutions on the Azure AI platform providing them with training, resources, and ongoing technical guidance.
Responsibilities
Partner with internal product groups and GPS teams to review and develop tech profile of each of the prioritized AI ISVs with the goal of adding more AI partners to the ecosystem and getting more partner led AI solutions to the marketplace
Develop and maintain reporting of these prioritized ISVs to indicate their tech maturity, identified needs for improvement and tech plan for each (workshops, documentation, skilling/readiness, roadmap reviews etc.) and AI/AOAI co-sell solutions released – track success through # of partner co-sell solutions and partner-led AI revenue
Establish rhythm of business (RoB) w/ prioritized ISVs to better understand and capture tech capabilities, skillset, current marketplace solutions, performance and grow their AI/AOAI footprint and revenue – develop tech roadmap for each partner & leverage GPS resources like Azure Innovate programs to activate partners
Establish RoB w/Partner Development Managers (PDMs) and Partner Technical Specialists (PTSs) (if applicable) and align roles and responsibilities to accelerate AI/AOAI partner solution development
Develop tech training in a box to scale PTS execution on AI/AOAI and maximize partner reach and capacity
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
OR equivalent experience
2+ years of proven track record as a Technical Program Manager or Solution Architect working with customers and partners, with deep focus on AI tech strategy.
Enterprise partner engagement skills –working with partners to integrate Generative AI and AI technology as part of digital transformation initiatives. This requires deep partner interfacing skills to capture requirements and translate them into product plans, user journeys, and end-to-end scenarios across different personas and use cases.
Experience with the Azure AI portfolio OR experience with competitive AI platforms and tools
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of proven track record as a Technical Program Manager, Partner Technical specialist or Solution Architect working with customers and partners, with a deep focus on AI tech strategy.
A deep commitment to excellence with a very high bar for quality and accountability for results, operating in a fast-paced, and oftentimes ambiguous environment.
Excellent attention to detail, planning, organization, and project management skills
Effective communication skills with a broad range of audiences and ability to influence without authority.
Outstanding problem solving and conflict-resolution skills across a set of technical, product, and business challenges.
Effective partner focus and a deep commitment to delivering quality products that create partner value and delightful experiences through deeper understanding of partner needs.
Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
