Job Description:

Systems and Controls Engineer - This role is a specific role that is more focused on machines and automation, specifically the work to integrate these machines into our internal data systems and infrastructure. This position also includes automation and mechanical design aspects, beyond just software or IT infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

  • System Design and Analyze: Analyze business requirements and specifications to design automation and integrated systems that meet the operational needs of the Kuiper organization.
  • Hardware and Software Integration: Integrate mechanical components, automation controls, electronics, sensors and software systems to create a cohesive and synchronized integrated network of things to Kuiper manufacturing Software System (MSS)
  • Programming: Develop, configure and deploy software solutions (cloud-based and on-premise) to ensure seamless communication and coordination between integrated machines and Kuiper Manufacturing Software System (MSS)
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of integrated manufacturing systems to identify and resolve any technical issues, ensuring proper functionality and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including teams in Production Operations, and IT and Digital Operations (KET), to ensure successful project execution and completion.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all integrated systems comply with internal IT and Security standards, with designs and code that is well-documented and version controlled. Contribute to the overall architecture for a high-performing, connected, safe and maintainable factory.

Tenure and Experience: 6+ years of experience in controls and automation, 3+ years of experience in aerospace Location and Shift Schedule: Kirkland building, 1st shift
