The Azure Multi-factor Authintactor (MFA) team has the responsibility to protect and authenticate millions of users every single day and ensure our users are able to securely and successfully access their resources. We are looking for a Skilled Software Engineer II who is looking for opportunities to grow technically and help run one of Microsoft's most critical services. Responsibilities

  • Designing, reviewing, and implementing new functionality

  • Improving the stability and resilience of backend services

  • Participating in oncall loop, handling releases, and monitoring the service

  • Ensuring our systems stay compliant with various regulatory and security requirements

  • Creating an inclusive and supportive environment assisting team members with various tasks and responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • OR equivalent experience

  • 1+ years experience in Data Analysis AND able to review large bodies of data and pull out meaningful insights.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient at writing and reviewing design documents. Able to think through a problem area and come up with multiple solutions with pros and cons, presenting these to the team and helping the team come to consensus.

  • Experience in Short Message Service (SMS) and Voice TelecommunicationsSystems.

  • Conscientious about time management. Able to set reasonable goals and estimates on work and consistently meet their goals.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
