Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

Within CO+I, the Critical Environments Service Intelligence (CESI) team is responsible for providing advanced industrial controls, telemetry and analytics for our datacenter fleet. We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, to support the development of an internal edge and cloud service to collect, process and route telemetry from our critical environment equipment to provide insights and actions, improving scalability, reliability, and service utilization across Microsoft’s global datacenters.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and build relationships with PM and engineering peers across CO+I to define and manage product feature/scenarios for data center telemetry management.

  • Collaborate with groups within CO+I and across the company to deliver results.

  • Derive product features, or scenarios across a multitude of edge/cloud scenarios through collaboration and observation of our internal data center customer(s)

  • Acts as a technical advisor to educate and evangelize managed programs via meetings, presentations, and other forums.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 4+ years of technical strategy, large-scale operations and/or program/project management experience in a cloud-based technology business or similar industry.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience in IoT or device/gateway engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years machine learning experience

  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
