Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Sterile Processing Technician in Redmond, Washington

Description The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of sterile processing supplies. The Senior Sterile Processing Technician must be able to decontaminate and assemble surgical instrumentation using an automated Instrument Tracking System. Selects appropriate method of sterilization, verify parameters, and documents sterility accurately and appropriately. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Required Qualifications: Completion of formal Central Services Technician or Sterile Processing Technician course or successfully challenged Course test. Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association 5 years experience in sterile processing, central services, or surgical supply and equipment environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ambulatory surgery center.
