Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver new capabilities for Azure Monitor Billing – from designing and implementing to rolling it to all Azure Monitor customers, partners and clouds.

  • Take up E2E ownership of deliverables and produce viable solutions. Understand both technology and business to know the right tradeoffs to make.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive features to delivery.

  • Ensure the security, scalability, reliability, and performance of large-scale systems.

  • Ensure availability and latency needs addressed by engineering reliability in software and systems.

  • Actively participate in code and design reviews to maintain high-quality code.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with C#

  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and analysis of algorithm complexity

  • Excellent design, coding, testing, and debugging skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms

  • Passion for quality and security with solid customer empathy

  • Proficiency in Agile development practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote teams

  • Quick learner with a passion for solving complex and exciting problems

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
