In the Regional Field Operations Construction Program Manager role, you will work with the Director of Field Operations , Datacenter Project Managers, and Critical Environment Operations Managers to drive and implement consistent programs across the operations and logistic verticals in the datacenter. You will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professionals across Design & Engineering, Construction, Information Technology (IT), Critical Environments (CE) spectrums, external General Contractors (GC) and the CO+I Global Construction teams supporting the DC Operations Teams in end-to-end builds of 24x7x365 mission-critical Datacenters.
Responsibilities
Operations/Service Delivery:
Lead and recruit a team of Metro Build Engineers to oversee retrofit, renovation and construction projects at Microsoft data centers.
Ability to form strategy for execution of renovation, retrofit and construction projects across an entire fleet of data centers.
Lead risk mitigation and change management efforts associated with the implementation of projects.
Manages small to medium construction projects within operational data center sites involving multiple teams and partners.
Attend all new build, expansion and retrofit project related design, construction, and commissioning meetings.
Address and report on any construction issues that could impact, safety, availability, schedule, and cost.
Manages and coordinates all construction activities within the region in compliance with procedures, schedule, and other project requirements.
Specific tasks will range from assisting with new facility design and commissioning, coordinating to installation of core network infrastructures.
Monitors and reports all upcoming key milestones and deliverables for projects within the region.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Qualification or equivalent AND 6+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments
OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering, or equivalent experience
Enterprise-level Experience in managing large-scale and complex projects/programs representing operational, business, and logistical verticals.
Strong experience with the operation and maintenance of building cooling and mechanical systems
Understands the major commercial and deliverable terms of construction subcontracts and manages within these terms.
Basic experience with physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application in the maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment.
Established understanding of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM),
Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS)
Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.)
Project Management Institute (PMI) Certifcations9S)
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Data Center Operations Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $125,400 - $226,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $166,000 - $249,000 per year.
