Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.
The Fabric Reliability team is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager for a crucial role for the success of the program and the business!
As the Central Reliability team, we focus on three key areas:
Standardizing reliability telemetry and metrics.
Driving cross-workloads service reviews and processes for continuous improvement.
Service reliability reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Work with engineering teams across the organization to model their reliability scenarios and streamline standardized telemetry instrumentation.
• Partner with platform engineers to develop tools and processes in support of telemetry standardization, consumption and analytics.
• This position offers significant business impact and visibility, and it can be fantastic for you if you have - experience with cloud service telemetry and/or operations, strong collaboration skills, solid analytical skills, experience in deriving data-based insights, and a results-driven mindset.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
3+ years of experience with aspects of observability engineering such as code instrumentation, identifying code reliability issues based on telemetry, and developing requirements to inform analytics for tracking service reliability.• 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Explorer or comparable tools.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
• 3+ years TPM experience in cloud services engineering or operations.
• 2+ years of experience with BI and BI tools for data modeling and visualization.
• 1+ years SQL experience.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
