The mission of Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) is to protect our customers from the perils and attacks they face as they engage in the online world. The MSRC Engineering team enables the MSRC mission through Software and AI, and we are looking for a Full-Stack Principal Software Engineering Manager to join our diverse talented team. Responsibilities
Hire, coach, and grow a world-class team of software engineers with care.
Support customers and live site in a DevOps model.
Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, security, quality.
Partner with product management, partners, customers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, scope projects and ship products in rapid, iterative cycles.
Qualifications
Required/ Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience developing with cloud platforms such as: Azure, Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, etc.
2+ years of technical lead experience in a DevOps team.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years people management experience
Experience working in the Cybersecurity domain.
Experience in Web Application Development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
Experience in Web Frontend Framework such as: React, Vue, Angular, etc.
Experience in Web Frontend Infrastructure such as: K8s, App Services, Apache, etc.
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
