Within WW Learning, the Global Field & Partner Learning (GFPL) team develops and leads role-based learning programs to increase technical, industry, and professional capabilities that accelerate field and partner sales and marketing performance. This open position is for the Marketing and Operations ( M&O) Learning Development Manager (LDM) , which is responsible for setting the learning strategy, success factors and measurable outcomes for Microsoft’s global Marketing and Operations (M&O) organization. This is a brand-new role, designed to accelerate growth and digital transformation for Microsoft and our commercial customers.

Success in this role will require close collaboration with global and HQ-based business, operations and marketing leaders. It requires the development of shared accountability with stakeholders to ensure learning content is timely, accurate, relevant, consumed and aligned with the needs of our Marketing and Operations teams. To execute these priorities, the LDM will involve Instructional Design Specialists, Content Experts, Data Analysis Managers and Learning Program Managers to develop and deliver engaging learning programs at scale and for all learners.

The successful candidate will be able to navigate across business teams at VP levels and broker win-win outcomes with senior Microsoft leadership. The role requires the ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills and to work under compressed deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Flexibility, high quality deliverables, and creativity are musts. Cross-team collaboration is essential to ensure the greatest potential impact against our shared business objectives.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary WW Learning business owner for the WW M&O team

  • Be accountable for identifying, developing and delivering the core Learning & Readiness needs and deliverables required to deliver business results

  • Ensure business alignment, readiness prioritization and measurable learning outcomes with M&O and GFPL stakeholders

  • Own & manage the full readiness experience in partnership with M&O Learning and Readiness stakeholders - including content curation, go-live program management, roll-out delivery, learner support and assessment & optimization of learning resources

  • Demonstrate depth understanding of learner skill gaps, and possess appropriate subject matter expertise to ensure the content enables learners to accelerate their growth and performance

  • Demonstrate credibility with M&O Leaders and field learners as the organization’s learning specialist and business enabler

  • Continuously test & assess content impact for learners aligned to business objectives

  • Engage across the WW Learning organization to share insights that drive business outcomes

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Business or other relevant BA/BS degree; MBA preferred; Technical degrees extremely helpful

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in increasingly complex and/or enterprise solution sales roles

  • Understanding of the commercial sales organization at Microsoft

  • Self-starter with proven ability to create business plans with measurable results

  • Excellent communications skills, executive presence, and strong business acumen

  • Demonstrable trusted advisor capability across diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to influence senior leaders & navigate executive relationships

  • Proven cross-boundary (geography and role-based) collaboration capabilities

  • High quality project and program management fundamentals

  • Demonstrated expertise collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver global solutions

  • Effective analytical and project management skills – able to deliver on time and on budget

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to manage through ambiguity

  • Experience with adult learning theories and approaches for education and learning design

  • Ability to travel globally 20% or as required

Priority Business Qualifications:

  • 8+ year’s broad business experience in international corporate sales, marketing, and/or services

  • Deep enterprise marketing experience in M&O or related role

  • Strong field-based experience and understanding of the factors that motivate, inhibit and drive results within Microsoft’s global sales organization

  • In-depth technical skills and marketing execution knowledge; either directly from a corporate or field team or from specific sales/marketing/services experience

  • Core knowledge and experience with Microsoft marketing roles - including their required capabilities, role orchestration, and accountabilities

  • Experience and familiarity with current Microsoft offerings (products and cloud services), processes, and tools
