The goal of the Search, Devices, & Creativity Finance team is to provide key insights that help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions, transform the way we measure business performance, manage resources, and lead financial activities using business intelligence, modeling, and analytics. Our team is at the center of Microsoft's financial activities for the Consumer business, being a key strategic partner to a diverse set of stakeholders: Finance leaders, Investor Relations, Consumer Leadership Team, Engineering groups, and Sales and Marketing teams.

The Search, Devices, & Creativity Central Finance team is looking for a Group Finance Manager with financial & business acumen to play a key role focused on understanding and telling the Microsoft Consumer story, while being an active driver of our key financial processes, while collaborating across different teams.  This role will partner directly with Central Finance, Investor Relations, Engineering Finance, Marketing, and Device Market Intelligence teams to tell a clear story of our different businesses and to drive and coordinate financial and Scorecard processes, while leading the cross-product team in the Central Finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & drive simplification of financial Rhythm of Business (ROB), such as forecast, planning and close, via insightful analytics and clear communication.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Central Finance Team (CFT), marketing & engineering finance, and other teams to craft our story – internal and external – through deep business understanding, collaboration across organizations and team leadership.

  • Lead and integrate our different Scorecard processes, ensuring we have the right metrics in place and in the right forums to assess the health and progress of our different businesses.

  • Coordinate our Windows and Devices Market Intelligence reviews with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and respective business finance teams.

  • Integrate varied data sources and assimilate diverse information into a comprehensive and clear narrative. Communicate results in a compelling and understandable message. Able to communicate complex financial models in a simple way.

  • Lead a high performing team through Microsoft’s model, coach and care framework, balancing empowering it while remaining accountable for it.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Financial Analysis M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
