Daimler Truck Financial Services IT Solutions Architect in Redford, Michigan
Responsible for designing and driving the implementation of new solutions and managing service operations and service delivery of existing systems in alignment with overall IT and Business strategic direction. Act as the consultant for new or existing technologies, processes or solutions that contribute towards the realization of strategies pertaining to Application Modernization and Digitization, following best practices and formal methodologies. Lead a team of developers to support run activities, maintain, optimize and enhance applications within the Dealer Funding domain. Assist and support developers during the testing process and procedures to enable a stable environment for the users and provide solutions. Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and business processes and follow all published DTFS processes and procedures including security and ICS compliance. Work with IT and business partners to gather and document business requirements and translate them to design solutions in alignment with IT and Business strategic direction. Perform evaluations of technology standards, tools/products and solutions, make rational design decisions from business and technical perspectives. Participate in the analysis, planning, and execution of ITenabled business solutions. Define guidelines and recommendations based on leading industry practices tailored to our needs and infrastructure. Oversee and address customer issues/tickets, monitor system SLA's, address system issues by performing root cause analysis and eliminating repeat problems. Collaborate with other data architects, DBAs, ITI, application solution architects in the timely resolution and prevention of future incidents. Work with IT Infrastructure teams to address issues and implement system upgrades with minimal impact to business continuity. Provide support for various audits, compliance activities and ensure IT governance, IT security, and Corporate Policies are followed. Ensure DevOps adoption for faster, agile service delivery. Develop plans and time estimates, track progress to plans, communicate status, and escalate issues and risks on a timely basis.
