Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in Reading, Pennsylvania

Description We are in search of a Help Desk Analyst I, to be based in Reading, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides technical assistance to computer system users. The role involves a combination of Level 1 and Level 2 support tasks, including resolving computer problems for clients via telephone or from a remote location. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to computer system users, answering inquiries and resolving problems of lower complexity.

• Install software or perform hardware testing remotely when required.

• Enter commands and monitor system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.

• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.

• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

• Provide dedicated support for system integration between Rentokil and Terminix.

• Handle a high volume of Service Desk work, including answering phone calls and working through a ticket queue.

• Use knowledge of computer software, such as Active Directory, Google Suite, PC Hardware, and Password Reset tools, to provide effective Technical Support. Requirements • Proven experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar technical support position

• Proficiency in using Active Directory for managing networked resources

• Strong knowledge of Google Suite, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides

• Understanding of PC hardware and the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues

• Experience with password reset procedures and protocols

• Excellent technical support skills, including the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for explaining technical issues to non-technical users

• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Demonstrates patience and a customer-friendly attitude

• Willingness to stay updated on the latest technology trends and updates
