Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Sales Manager in Reading, United Kingdom
Our business and team in the UK is growing and we are looking for a passionate sales expert to continue to expand and develop customer relationships. If you have a background in technical sales related to power system protection and control and are looking for an opportunity and challenge selling high quality power solution products and systems, then this position is for you!
As a Sales Manager a typical day might include the following:
Working autonomously to lead business development efforts in UK to introduce SEL products and services to new and existing customers through visits, demonstrations, training courses, and telecommunications contact.
Teaching and partnering with regional leadership and employees to quote, sell, and support customers with products and solutions that add value for them.
Developing sales forecasts and strategic plans and performing activities to meet/exceed those plans.
Participating in SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
Maintaining customer databases for customer sales and application information.
Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if you:
Have a strong educational background in electrical engineering or related field.
Have experience in technical sales and business development related to power systems protection and control (experience working with a manufacturer is preferred).
Have experience working directly with end-users, distributors and sales partners.
Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills in English.
Enjoy autonomy and working with latitude necessary to drive results.
Are willing to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
