Job Description

YOUR FOCUS:

To perform quality control and analytical testing on finished products, incoming raw materials and process samples to ensure product meets customer specification and consumer safety standards.

How you will contribute

  1. Technical/ Functional
  • Perform all responsibilities associated with Chemical laboratory: finished products, incoming raw materials and process, water, wastewater samples.

  • Perform advanced or non-routine testing associated with microbiology lab;

  • Develop and evaluate new or revised procedures using methodology and in-depth understanding of testing procedures;

  • Conduct calibrations and maintain records for the calibration program;

  • Provide general lab support by maintaining effective inventory control of lab equipment and consumable supplies and follow up on maintenance work orders;

  • Perform instrument troubleshooting and calibration;

  • Investigate and make recommendations with respect to plant and complaint investigations through the use of records, experimentation and technical knowledge;

  • Assist with instrument and method validations;

  • Provide training support for entry level technicians as necessary;

  • May require support as shift technician or for Microbiology labs backup as necessary

  • Participate in the training of new analysts.

    1. Product Quality Assurance
  • Follow all standard lab procedures and testing methods;

  • Comply with cGMP & HACCP, ISO 9000, FSSC 22000, EXCiPACT standards, both in the laboratory and in the plant;

  • Maintain accurate records of all test results and report them in a timely manner in alignment with the quality system;

  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained according to plant procedures and the quality system;

  • Suggest changes to procedures and methods as needed.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferred in chemical technology, food science, or related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a Chemical Laboratory, Quality Control, preferably in Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industry environment;

  • Requires ISO 9000 and cGMP & HACCP, FSSC 22000 knowledge

  • Experience required with method and instrument validation.

  • English Communication is a key

  • Be Agile and able to work in shifts (Day shift/ Night shift)

  • Be self-motivated and team player
