KnL, Inc Gas Field Laborer in Raven, Virginia
Right Of Way Field Technician/Ground Hands/Chainsaw Operator This position will be outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. Job is general labor for construction and maintenance for rights of way for power line, pipeline, and roadways. Job will mainly consist of working with other construction companies in the clearing of brush and trees along various rights of way.
- 10-hour shift
- Monday - Friday
- Overtime
Specific Tasks could include:
- Operate chain saw to cut brush and small trees
- General Labor for installing silt fencing and other construction activity
- Operate trimmer and pole saw as needed
- Flagging Traffic
- Spraying herbicide for vegetation control
- Drive company trucks to specific job locations
- Working with other construction companies in the clearing of brush and trees along various rights of way.
- Spraying of herbicide along right of way (training provided)
Other Requirements:
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must pass drug testing
- Must have satisfactory background check
- Be safety minded as related to General Labor Construction type work.
- Willing to learn and advance in knowledge and skill as required
- Be timely in adhering to given schedule and take minimal time off
- Some knowledge of chain saw, trimmers, hand tools, etc.
- Work well with others and contribute to the overall process
- Ideal experience may include landscaping, maintenance, skilled labor, construction, construction labor, handyman.
