Alt ernatives, Inc. in Raritan, NJ is looking to hire a part-time Social Media Assistant to support our Admissions & Development Department. Are you passionate about social media and making a positive impact in your community?
In this role, you will help manage and grow our social media presence, creating and curating engaging content that highlights the important work we do and helps raise awareness of our mission. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and promotion of fundraising events and assist with the development of marketing materials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media Content Creation & Design: Develop engaging posts, graphics, and multimedia content to share across our social media platforms.
Scheduling & Posting: Manage and schedule posts, ensuring content is timely and relevant.
Marketing Materials Support: Assist in the design and planning of promotional materials for the agency's events, programs, and initiatives.
Fundraising Event Support: Participate in promoting and executing fundraising events through social media outreach and event materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in a related role is preferred.
Hands-on experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Strong creative skills in content creation, graphic design, and writing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
ADDITONAL INFORMATION:
Hours: 4 hours per week (with flexibility)

TRAINING
All employees are required to complete 10-15 trainings upon hire and on an ongoing basis. Trainings are a combination of in person, which require staff to commute to the main office in Raritan NJ, and remote, using Go To Meeting. All trainings are paid.
