DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Development of NPD Parts : Lead the development of New Product Development (NPD) parts through a structured Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, adhering to program timelines.
Design Quality Reviews : Coordinate detailed design quality reviews with supplier technical teams and the product engineering team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work in cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, Product Engineering (PE), and Supplier Teams, to complete project deliverables as per the Value Package Introduction (VPI) process.
Source Release Activity : Complete source release activities and ensure timely project launches.
Supplier Corrective Actions : Manage the supplier corrective action process, including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for Field Issue Resolution Group (FIRG) issues reported during the VPI program.
Quality Tools Utilization : Ensure suppliers effectively use quality tools such as the Cummins Quality Management System (CQMS) database and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Supplier Performance Measurement : Measure supplier quality performance according to established procedures and drive improvements to meet targets.
Continuous Improvement : Facilitate continuous improvement activities to reduce defects using various Supplier Quality Improvement (SQI) tools.
Training and Awareness : Provide awareness and training on the CQMS database to suppliers.
Product Requirements Compliance : Work with suppliers to ensure all product requirements are met, including Parts Source Release(s), PPAP, and MQV management.
Project Updates : Prepare project updates on supplier part development and communicate timely with stakeholders.
Plant and SQI Deliverables : Collaborate closely with supplier and plant teams to meet plant and SQI deliverables.
Quality System Compliance : Ensure compliance with quality systems such as ISO/TS 16949 and deliver satisfactory product quality.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
