Dignity Health Physician Compensation Analyst in Rancho Cordova, California

Overview

This position is remote, but will be expected to work PST business hours.*

Responsibilities

This position is remote, but will be expected to work PST business hours.*

Position Summary:

Conducts data collection and analysis involved in calculating physician compensation programs. Works with Senior Physician Compensation Analyst to ensure physicians and Medical Groups are paid in a timely & accurate manner. Recommends program & system solutions to address changing needs of the department. Provides compensation support through survey participation & analysis, reviewing and distributing compensation and productivity reports - conducting analyses requested and/or required by the executive leadership, Board of Directors (BOD), Medical Directors, individual providers, and corporate counsel.

Core Duties:

  • Administers & implements pay practices approved by the respective governing bodies for Medical Foundation medical groups.

  • Ensures appropriate interpretation of pay practices and contract language.

  • Works with the Medical Foundation HR and payroll analysts to ensure compensation is entered accurately in the payroll and HR systems.

  • Maintains the physician -payroll database for reporting and analysis purposes.

  • Monitors integrity of data.

  • Reviews exception reports for accuracy.

  • Produces monthly productivity reports and packages for individual providers and management.

  • Researches issues questions using historical files & makes recommendations based on analysis.

  • Responds to physician inquiries regarding salaries productivity reports and compensation calculations.

  • Researches & reconciles discrepancies on physician compensation calculation.

  • Participates in the development & implementation of new systems & databases relating to physician compensation.

  • Works with Business Intelligence (BIDS) for programming support.

  • Interprets and communicates physician and Medical Group compensation programs and policies to physicians & management.

  • Recommends clarification of policy problems.

  • Performs compensation functions such as: implementing/administration of physician compensation programs –reviewing and distributing - compensation and productivity reports - participating in salary surveys & analyzing survey data providing analytic support on compensation projects.

  • Conducts individual provider audits as necessary.

  • Works closely with Legal and Provider Contracting to ensure that any changes to the PSAs are accurate and able to be administered. Reviews all employment contracts and PSA qualified amendments for accuracy and notifies Legal of any changes required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting or physician compensation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field

  • Senior skill level in Excel and Access.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Analytical and data management skills necessary to collect and analyze substantial sized data files.

  • Consistently demonstrating the knowledge skills abilities discretion and behaviors necessary to provide superior service to physicians providers team members and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

  • Microsoft Reporting Services experience preferred.

  • Experience with relational databases preferred.

Pay Range

$34.50 - $50.97 /hour
