Description
As a Temporary Legal Secretary specializing in Trial Preparation, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal team in preparing for and managing trials. Your experience and skills will be essential in ensuring our clients receive the best possible legal representation.
Key Responsibilities:
Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in all phases of trial preparation, including organizing and managing trial exhibits, coordinating with witnesses, and preparing trial binders.
Document Management: Draft, edit, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
Calendar Management: Maintain and update attorney calendars, schedule court appearances, depositions, and meetings.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and courteously.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online databases to support case preparation.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and answering phones when needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, with a focus on trial preparation.
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
