Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the A/R Billing Supervisor, the A/R Billing Rep Lead is responsible for providing operational support and training to the A/R Billing Rep team including rounding with staff, triaging issues and offering solutions. The A/R Lead will also perform department audits and coordinate audit function & feedback with A/R Billing Supervisor. Additionally, they will assist supervisor with special projects including but not limited to providing timely and efficient follow-up with all payer types for all unpaid claims, consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health Medical Foundation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office.

  • 1 year experience with IDX Practice management system.

  • High School Diploma

  • Knowledge of physician billing regulations.

  • Understanding of professional claims and billing procedures.

  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations applicable to Government and Insurance Collections.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to use a high level of judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness when dealing with internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to others.

  • Working knowledge of computers and demonstrated proficiency in using Email systems, Internet and MS office software applications with emphasis in Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office.

  • 1 year experience with Cerner EHR.

  • AA/AS degree in Healthcare Administration or related field

  • Strong MS Excel skills to interpret and analyze high volume of data.

  • Knowledge of Google Suite

Pay Range

$23.00 - $28.48 /hour
