Description:
This Sr. Network Architect must have experience within an enterprise environment building out a network infrastructure. This Architect will be responsible for a team of engineers who will help with the execution of the work. Documentation will be a very important piece of this role. This position will help within the whiteboarding sessions and then be the weeds technically hitting the keyboard and help to conduct implementations. They will be both technically smart and be able to sit in a room with board of executives and discuss in layman terms what is going on.
This Architect will work side by side with 8 other members of the networking team.
The environment consists of a couple of datacenters across the United States. They will work support a datacenter migration and the back end of a cloud migration within Azure. It is primarily an Arista shop but does have some Cisco. They are becoming a strong virtual environment with networking in virtual and hyperscale (roughly 1,500 virtual servers). Experience with VMware, ESXi, Vcenter, Vsphere, and NSX. There are also Nutanix clusters. Ability to understand Azure and how to link the datacenter together for VPN and Express route will be important. Understanding how firewalls (Checkpoint and ASA) interact and protect the network. Finally, scripting; either PowerShell or Python scripting from scratch to help automate tasks in the future.
