Charles Schwab Specialist, Software Development & Engineering in Raleigh, North Carolina

Duties: Design and develop software solutions requiring general domain knowledge and developing business experience. Supports and may lead projects within own organization with limited complexity. Analyzes user requirements/needs and makes decisions within limited parameters under regular supervision. Develop and execute manual and automated software testing activities while delivering on multiple projects implementing new features and enhancements, and bug fixes on a large and complex portfolio management system. Perform all QA-related functions such as vetting requirements, creating test plans and test cases, executing test cases, creating automation scripts, and reviewing regression results in order to quickly determine if products are ready for market. Work closely with developers on an integrated team dedicated to delivering high quality solutions, and be part of a highly interactive, agile team. Collaborate with business partners and development team to understand project concepts, objectives, and approach of software development projects. Responsible for estimating, coordinating, and directing testing for multiple products/projects. Collaborate with development team during all stages of projects to provide in process testing results. Works directly with appropriate business partners and development to understand project concepts, objectives and approach of software development projects. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Raleigh, NC. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $112,755 to $130,600 per year

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related. Requires 1 year of related experience, which include some experience in each of the following skills: SDET for cloud, distributed systems, REST Services, web services / micro-services, using RESTSharp, Selenium, Bamboo, RestAssured, SoapUI, and Parasoft SOAtest; C#, .NET, and Object-Oriented Programming; REST API; Unit, functional, integration, and automated Tests using C# / .NET, JavaScript and Java; CI/CD pipeline integration with automated tests; and Databases including SQL, Mongo, and Aerospike.
