The Cigna Group Software Engineering Senior Advisor - Evernorth Health Services - Hybrid in Raleigh, North Carolina
This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end business solutions by understanding requirements and deploying software into production. The Software Engineering Senior Advisor will exhibit a strong proficiency in key technologies and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. An automation-first mindset is essential, along with a focus on enhancing tools and processes. The candidate will utilize software engineering expertise and data analysis skills to effectively integrate and interface various systems, with a particular emphasis on innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive business solutions from requirements gathering to production deployment.
Drive automation and continuous improvement across processes and tools.
Develop and integrate software solutions that effectively connect diverse systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical solutions for complex problems.
Lead discussions at all organizational levels, clearly communicating ideas and issues.
Mentor and coach junior staff while influencing senior leadership.
Maintain flexible work hours to meet project deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on automation.
Deep understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts related to software development.
Proven experience with automated testing patterns such as unit testing and integration testing.
Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of creating innovative solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Familiarity with the healthcare or PBM industry is preferred.
Experience with AWS and cloud technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and self-motivation.
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Deep understanding of coaching and mentoring techniques to develop less experienced team members.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
