Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina
Description:
A pharmacy technician assists pharmacists in various support activities and procedures involved in dispensing medical prescriptions. They gather, input, and double-check prescription, refill, and patient information, as well as receive and organize incoming supplies. Additionally, they might prepare labels and routine prepacked orders, and potentially handle certain clerical tasks related to the department.
-techs must be comfortable with patient interaction- depending on station they are in they will have to deal with patients face to face. Must be comfortable with rotating around different stations.
-will be seeing a diverse patient population: transplant, sickle cell, pediatrics, internal medicine, employee medications, etc.
-high volume 1200 scripts/day
-Comfortable in a team setting

Pharmacy, Cpht, Pharmacy technician certification, Retail pharmacy, Pharmacy technician license, Pharmacy technician certificate, Inventory, Data entry, Insurance, Inpatient, Outpatient, Prior authorization, Compounding, Fulfillment, Health care
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-1 year of pharm tech experience
-PTCB highly preferred- must be active after 6 months of employment
-SC State license with BOP
