Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Account Manager to join our team at Storr Office Environments, a leading commercial furniture dealership. In this role, you will primarily focus on business development, identifying new sales opportunities, and growing existing accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with an emphasis on building client relationships, understanding customer needs, and driving revenue growth in the commercial furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Generate new business by prospecting, cold-calling, networking, etc.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of furniture and service opportunities.
- Leverage industry knowledge and market trends to identify opportunities.
- Develop customized sales strategies and proposals to meet the unique needs of each client.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, providing tailored solutions and excellent customer service.
- Regularly check in with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing Storr's products and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure new business and expand existing relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of furniture solutions aligned with client expectations.
Market Research and Industry Knowledge:
- Stay informed on trends and innovations within the commercial furniture industry, as well as competitors and market conditions.
- Provide clients with insights on the latest products, research, and insights that can enhance their workspace environment.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand the client base.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Provide regular updates to management on progress towards sales goals, potential challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Interior Design, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales, with a focus on B2B or commercial markets.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and closing large deals.
- Experience in the commercial furniture or interior design industry is a plus, but not required.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence key decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of the commercial furniture industry and product offerings is a plus.
