TEKsystems IT Program Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina


We are seeking a Program Manager to join a global leader in IT and help kick off multiple large scale, transformational programs which will expand workforce investments, explore innovative technology, and exceed customer expectations. Do you have a passion for ensuring that the business value of strategic programs is effectively delivered? Are you detailed, creative, and experienced in effective methods of helping people navigate the change inherent in transformational programs? As a member of this team you will play a key role in helping projects meet business, schedule and budget objectives. You will provide project management support and identify stakeholders and team members helping to ensure the timely delivery of high priority change related projects. You will take a lead role in understanding highly complex processes, tools and operations, with a goal to identify and address opportunities for improvement. Financial operations and communication skills are critical success factors to deliver results in this large, culturally diverse, and global organization.

In this role in the you will:

  • Create and update project plan, collateral, and status updates

  • Follow-up on project management project tasks and action items

  • Maintain your project plan to meet schedule needs of the overall program

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings

  • Prepare, edit, and distribute meeting minutes

  • Track meeting participation

  • Analyze reports to track key metrics

  • Assist with creating and updating project management documents

  • Review, edit and assemble meeting materials

  • Assist with project administration activities

  • Work with cross functional teams across the globe

Preferred Skills

  • PMP / Agile/ Scrum desired

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software – Specifically proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Skills to transform content into narrative that is appealing, simple to understand and effective.

General skills and experience:

  • A BA or BS degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years’ experience in project management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong documentation, administrative and engagement skills

  • Ability to build solid working relationships with team members

  • Demonstrated effective analytical skills and reliable decision-making skills

  • Familiarity with change management and project management methodologies, processes, and tool

  • Experience with maintaining virtual communities, or a willingness to learn

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-demand environment

  • Working/proficient knowledge of the MS Office suite with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience leading cross functional continuous improvement projects

  • Comfortable presenting findings at the executive level

  • Solid track record showing successful completion of large scale cross functional projects
