Actalent Instrumentation And Controls Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls TechnicianJob Description

As an Instrumentation and Controls Technician, you will provide onsite process and/or analytical services to startup projects, installations or long term contracts for existing facilities. Your role involves building high level interaction with the client and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Your duties will include troubleshooting, repairing air handlers, bioreactors, freezers, and handling and maintaining company and client equipment. You will also be responsible for completing calibrations, qualifications, and PMs, following company or client specific policies and procedures. You are expected to proactively assess project safety concerns and ensure team members comply with client site safety requirements. Your role also involves strategically assessing client environments, needs, and requirements to develop and initiate effective solutions.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of instrumentation, equipment and loop calibrations

  • Ability to perform flow, conductivity, pH, mass and dimensional calibrations

  • Experience in handling and maintaining company and client equipment

  • Ability to perform loop checks, temperature, pressure, pH calibrations

Soft Skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to build high level interaction with clients

  • Ability to assess and address safety concerns

  • Ability to strategically assess client needs and develop solutions

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role in a construction setting. The site is a greenfield site with a heavy construction presence, necessitating a high level of safety and awareness. You will be required to wear steel-toed shoes and other PPE, which will be provided on-site. Your shift will begin at 7:30 AM and lasts for 8 hours from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime. There will be no on-call requirements, but the option to work on Saturdays is open.
