JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator provides 1st and 2nd level on-site support for daily computer operations in the divisions including the main office, studio and outlying sales offices. Maintains the continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing technical expertise, assistance and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of computers, tablets and other related software/hardware.

  • Maintain office LAN systems.

  • Complete preventative maintenance upgrades and repairs of computers, servers, and network equipment. and monitor daily backups.

  • Perform Active Directory computer and user object administration.

  • Perform Intune computer administration.

  • Coordinator software installations and upgrades with KBHIT management.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Computer and Network assets,

  • Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when related to personal desktop and laptop computers.

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate software and hardware solutions to KBHIT management based on field findings and best practices.

  • Resolves issues reported by the Help Desk and/or end users.

  • Performs necessary computer requirements for opening, relocating and closing communities in the field.

  • Order, install and maintain Broadband connectivity.

  • Install and manage network printers, print servers, and print queues.

  • Organize and direct installation of new equipment.

  • Coordinates warranty repair and other on-site service calls with outside vendors. Monitors success of tape backups, performs daily tape switching and provides offsite storage of tapes.

  • Assists users with any computer related and/or other electronic equipment issues, e.g., cellular phones, copiers, postage meters, scanners, etc.

  • Evaluates and communicated assigned division's equipment purchasing needs and communicates; Work with KBHIT management to create PC purchasing requirements and budget.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school degree or equivalent required

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

  • Professional technical certification (i.e., MCSE, MCSA) is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience, preferably in a multisite environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Detailed knowledge of computer system concepts and principles, including computer hardware, software, and network and server technologies

  • High level of technical competency, and ability to learn and adapt toKBHIT and business-related processes

  • Includes high level of technical competency with networking, servers, and Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Azure Windows Server, Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft 365)

  • Basic understanding of IP networks and network printing and SharePoint online to assist end users

  • Ability to work independently while supporting technical needs of end-users; Extensive experience supporting users at remotes sites and work from home is required

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize while managing multiple simultaneous projects

  • Have a strong customer focus and be results driven

  • Strong people skills, including the capability to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships

  • Strong verbal & written communication, and excellent listening skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Basic Understanding ofSharePoint Online

  • Ability to assist with basic user requests

Work Requirements

  • Work 8-hour days with flexibility for overtime when necessary

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs

  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company

  • Position is located on-site (1800 Perimeter Park Drive Suite 140 Morrisville NC 27560) #LI-onsite

  • Monthly travel on an 'as needed' basis to Charlotte, North Carolina will be required, typically not more than 1-2 days a month but could be more than that if the situation requires it.

  • Travel to Division's communities, offsite locations, remote office, meeting facilities, etc. required. Reliable transportation to these assigned locations is required.

  • Overnight travel may be required from time to time.
