Actalent BIM CAD TECHNICIAN in Raleigh, North Carolina
Description:
Local firm is seeking an experienced BIM/CAD Technician to join their Raleigh, Charlotte, or Winston-Salem office. Raleigh is preference, but this role will support all projects for FNI throughout the S.E. Region.
This individual will create 3D CAD models of engineering designs and client deliverables related to water/wastewater infrastructure including pipelines and pump stations.
Assist with discipline design tasks such as plan/profiles, slope calculations, grading, cross-sections, profiles, alignments, drainage, etc
We need more of a Designer / Independent Thinker - not CAD Tech doing Red Lines - We want this person to be able to produce drawings.
Someone to assist w training of entry-level techs/mentor current techs
Revit:
Process mechanical, civil site, yard piping, interior, HVAC,
Structures and process
Huge Plus - resident project rep experience – someone apart of the design team & construction services team as well during construction….
Would be great to have flexibility.. someone w experience on the construction side of things
Day To Day Responsibilities:
• Utilizes FNI CAD Standards and follows instruction per direction from PM, Designers and Lead CAD Staff.
• Interprets sketches and markups to incorporate into sheets.
• Sets up new projects in accordance with FNI CAD standards.
• Places and manages files according to CAD Standards and prepares final drawings.
• Utilizes and performs quality control check of surveyor data.
• Prepares accurate and complete sets of drawings which involve multiple views and detail drawings with minimal input from Designer or Engineer.
• Coordinates with other disciplines throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Provides basic training and guidance to CAD Staff and EIT’s and interns.
• Performs quality control on deliverables and provides Continuous Improvement input.
