Maintenance Technician -

1st and 2nd shift positions

Job Summary:

To maintain and repair machines and equipment in all Departments and to perform preventive maintenance as required.

Essential Functions:

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
• Repair or replace control devices.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments
• Able to perform Preventative Maintenance as scheduled.
• Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
• Knowledge and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electrical repair.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze documents and drawings.
• Possess electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
• Perform skilled mechanical/electrical work to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery and equipment.
• Must maintain a current and valid Material Handler Certification through Choice Fabricators, Inc.

Physical Requirements:

• Sufficient manual dexterity to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward positions.
• Sufficient coordination to operate tools and equipment with hands and fingers.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl for prolonged lengths of time.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, procedures, and operate moving equipment when necessary.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights from ground level up to and including 60 feet.
