Robert Half Hedge Fund Accountant in Radnor, Pennsylvania

Description

We have partnered with a management firm on their search for a proactive Hedge Fund Accountant with investment industry expertise. In this role, you will manage the accounting books for the hedge fund, including recording transactions, performing due diligence, preparing financial statements & balance sheets, communicating with investors regarding financial matters, preparing annual auditing reports, assessing and managing financial risks associated with fund investments, and working closely with investment banks/portfolio managers/auditors. The ideal Hedge Fund Accountant for this role should have excellent analytical skills, great research abilities, and in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Primary Responsibilities

· Capture and record fund activities

· Performing account reconciliations daily

· Oversee various investment funds

· Prepare fund accounting financial statements/reports

· Assist with the annual audit process

· Supervise reconciliation of investment portfolios

· Gather documentation for regulatory filings

· Maintain strong client relationships

· Ad hoc vendor relation projects

Requirements

The ideal Hedge Fund Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related studies.

Other requirements for the Hedge Fund Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 2+ years of public accounting experience and/or hedge fund experience

· CPA a big PLUS

· SQL experience preferred

· Excellent organizational and communication skills
