The Graphic Design and Digital Marketing Engineer ensures effective communication programs are implemented globally in line with budgets and overall BU strategy. He/she must ensure best-in-class public and internal communications of our products, markets, capabilities, strategies on a regional and global basis – both digitally and non-digitally. He or she should have experience in promoting technical products and demonstrated knowledge in chemistry or materials science. Experience with design software (i.e. Adobe Suite) is a plus.
Responsibilities
Elaboration and update of technical/market content marketing in both digital and printed medium, in line with the communication strategy of the High Performance Polymers (HPP) Business Unit.
Brochures, leaflets, flyers
Drive content creation with the market & technical managers.
Ensure effective production and fulfillment of promotional items to customers and Arkema personnel.
Manage the BU images/icons library.
Ensure compliance with the Group graphic charter in all written communications.
Create in-house professional physical and digital content using Adobe InDesign software.
Multi-media Creation (Mainly Videos)
Under the direction of the HPP Management, create impactful video storyboards to help actual video production.
Manage third party agencies when needed for external production.
Edit and tailor video content for specific trade shows and events.
Websites
Under the leadership of the BU global internet officer (in France), assist in the design, implementation, optimization, routine maintenance of Arkema’s global website(s) and digital messaging for the High-Performance Polymers Business Unit
Act as primary regional contact for Arkema corporate communications team in Colombes concerning all digital communications.
Participate in HPP SEO and SEM (Search engine optimization and Search engine marketing) to ensure best in class online performance. Do this in close collaboration with global market managers and regional sales contacts.
Create impactful market content by close interaction with the global market & technical managers.
Institutional market presentations
Create highly impactful ad hoc content (mainly PowerPoint)
Ensure technical accuracy while also adhering to Arkema Group graphic charter.
Digital Marketing
Create, Organize, and host webinars.
Create automated marketing campaigns.
Become a proficient power user of sales software tools
Tradeshow
Design key booth features including graphics and promotional tools.
Support the sales team in tradeshow follow up and lead management.
Promotion of regional tradeshows on social media in conjunction with global team
Management of Internal Communication.
Ensure current update of the content on the Arkema HPP intranet
Support for the animation and update of the SharePoint site.
Other:
Supports the site Health, Environment and Safety (HES) policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical area preferred. Marketing and communications degrees will be considered with strong background in design.
1 -3 years of functional experience in graphic design, marketing communications, business or brand communications or related field.
Knowledge of Marketing, Sales, and Business Processes required.
Filming, photography skills, and postproduction skills required to produce in-house promotional videos, professional brochures, and online infographic content.
Some proficiency with Graphic Design Software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, FinalCut Pro, after effects, Motion is a plus
Some proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and website design
Competencies
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a global team.
Strong writing and editing skills (strategic targeted messaging, promotional copy, web, and email content, press materials, webcasts, etc.).
Strong ability to plan, prioritize, manage, and meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects.
Attention to detail and bias to action.
Good digital marketing skills and demonstrate a high degree of initiative.
Ability to influence without formal authority and interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.
