Wise Foods, Inc. Warehouse Utility Worker - Radford, VA in Radford, Virginia
Location: Radford, VA
This position requires operation and monitoring of several areas including orders, inventory, service quality and reports.
Deliver products to Convivence store and Grocery stores when Route Salesman are out due to vacation, sick, etc
This will be 75% route sales and 25% warehouse work
Areas of Responsibilities:
Load or unload all freight and shipments.
Inspect all shipments for proper loading and securing prior to leaving warehouse.
Accurately gather and properly prepare all shipping document requirements for destinations including all bill of lading, country of origin, and commercial invoices.
Pulling and boxing parts for order fulfillment in a warehouse environment· Process orders accurately using various electronic devices
Properly identify packages to fulfill orders.
Assist with inventory counts.
Will learn international shipping rules for shipments.
Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Collaborates with Warehouse Managers to ensure customer demands are met.
Work with Warehouse Lead to follow up with tasks assigned to shipping department.
Additional Responsibilities as a Route Driver:
The ability to locate and deliver products to storage bins and warehouses in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform pre and post DOT truck inspections and keep log books up to date
Properly secure load on truck
Daily maintenance and cleanliness of truck
Safely operate assigned equipment,
Report any unsafe job site or injury immediately to supervisor.
Strong customer service skills
Pre and post photographs of delivery
Customer signature on sales orders at warehouses
Must pass all DOT requirements including physical examination and drug screen.
Must have a clean motor vehicle record.
The ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Down stack deliveries in storage bins accordingly.
Education and Experience:
Required:
High school or general education equivalent/ relevant work experience.
Requires a minimum of two years related experience in the shipping of product domestically, along with material movement and computer transactions.
Excellent attendance
Strong attention to details
Must be able to work with little supervision.
Demonstrated experience with computers.
Ability to secure a DOT medical card.
Use of the Following Equipment:
Safety Requirements
- Use of all PPE to include face shields, glasses and gloves are required when working with any materials known to be hazardous or irritants.
GMP Requirements
Understand and comply with all GMP and Food Safety Requirements when entering and performing any tasks within the plant areas.
