Boehringer Ingelheim MSL & Medical Advisor | Quito in Quito, Ecuador

The position

The MSL & Medical Advisor develops and applies the strategy of scientific interaction towards doctors of commercialized drugs and those drugs under development.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Establish and provide scientific messages with knowledge of the product and the state of the disease through individual and group presentations to HCP's.

  • Contribute to the continuous development of brand awareness, competition, understanding of territory-specific health systems and clinical practices related to patient care, disease management, treatment protocols, and research interests.

  • Identify opportunities, knowledge gaps and barriers to to make appropriate use of medications by HCP´s in the assigned therapeutic area.

  • Provide information to establish a solid understanding of the needs of the HCP's therapeutic area in the country.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of multichannel medical affairs initiatives based on HCP's participation preferences and client needs.

  • Coordinate in conjunction with the MA and the Medicine Management the local IIS/ECR when appropriate.

  • Encourage publications of the HCP's in the products of your franchise.

  • Contact the opinion leaders for the coordination of EMC conferences.

  • Marketing support for review and approval of promotional materials and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Medicine.

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in MSL or Medical Avisor roles.

  • Intermediate level in english.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations).

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a solid understanding of research methodology, project management.

  • Ability to learn and convey medical / scientific information to a wide range of audiences, including healthcare professionals, decision makers and non-medical / scientific groups.
