Job Description Summary

As an Electrical Systems Future of Flight Team Manager, you will lead the New Technology Introduction (NTI) Electrical group focusing on inventing the future of flight within the Electrical Systems domain. You will also coordinate external parties for project development such as local universities and government initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop the new generation of Electrical Systems technical leaders focusing on advanced technologies such as open fan, hybrid electric and hydrogen.

  • Shared ownership with the global Advanced Technologies team and ensure quality and on time delivery for hardware and software items.

  • Execute team performance reviews to ensure continuous growth aligned to business strategy.

  • Establish and execute a short-term, mid-term and long-term plans to meet program milestones.

  • Drive together with upper leadership to establish a strategy to meet business objectives.

  • Effectively support the Engineering organizations, meeting the KPIs and business targets defined (such as OTD, FTY, Savings, budgets) as well as identifying leading indicators

  • Maintain a strong awareness of Planning within the discipline to ensure the on-time completion and technical excellence of work milestones and reviews, appropriate use of resources and consistency of status reporting across engineering programs.

  • Close collaboration with engineering organizations (local and global) towards a clear vision and short/long term priorities alignment

  • Maintain resource flexibility to adapt to the dynamic environment.

  • Drive Lean ideas globally.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or equivalent.

  • Customer support experience as well as experience leading technical teams locally or globally.

  • Experience leading diverse teams under uncertain circumstances.

  • Experience leading Engineering teams.

  • Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position

  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and experience aligned with the team’s scope.

  • Demonstrated skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage tasks.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Strategic and Business mindset.

  • Able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience working with Electrical systems and Electrical component development.

  • Experience working in New Product Introduction or New Technology Introduction processes.
