Job Description Summary
As a Configuration Management Intern, the candidate will develop tools that help Engineers increase their productivity and ensure quality of their deliverables. The candidate will be involved in most phases of our projects, such as, requirement definition, app development, testing, documentation, and release. Also, the candidate will provide support to Global Lean Continuous improvement actions such as infographics creation, content creation, follow up to People leaders Lean training, pre-work assistance for Kaizen, VSM and PSR being held across Global organization and support to Standard Work creation.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities in this role,
Design and Develop tools that facilitate teams’ performance and productivity.
Develop enhancements for existing Configuration Management tools
Document guides on how to use and maintain the tools developed
Analyze data and automate the creation of charts from application tracking database
Perform tasks under the specified timeframe.
Collecting requirements and close cooperation with end users
Support the CMPD Global and GEVQ Communication (creation of training, informative videos and mass email creation)
Data analysis/gathering for Quality inputs which is a global initiative led by GEVQ CMD Team
Deployment of GE Vernova way GEVQ strategy through video creation, email communications, content creation
Provide support to Global Lean Continuous improvement actions such as infographics creation, content creation, follow up to People leaders Lean training, pre-work assistance for Kaizen, VSM and PSR being held across Global organization and support to Standard Work creation.
Support Global CMPD L3 priorities (Project/Program Management, Daily Management, Scheduling quality, Change Implementation Process, Parts Proliferation)
Schedule different meetings with different team members to leverage some administrative burden on the Manager, especially given the size of the team (> 90 ICs). Meetings can include, but not limited to: 1o1 TPs, Quality Inputs Initiative follow up, Priorities Owners, Functional Managers TPs, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or similar.
Student minimum at 3rd year of university.
Fluent in English
Desired Characteristics
Strong programming on the following languages: Python, C#, vb.net
Strong knowledge on Excel
Problem solving skills
Familiar with databases.
Basic knowledge on SQL
