FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Psychology Department at Queens College, City University of New York, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis to begin Fall 2025. Queens College, situated in the most ethnically diverse county in America with students from over 150 nations, is committed to serving our diverse population of students and the surrounding community. The successful candidate will have experience teaching, supervising, and/or providing behavior analytic services to underserved populations and a record of, or the strong potential for, external funding.

At Queens College, the graduate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis are New York State Licensure-qualifying and Verified Course Sequences with ABAI. Students have the opportunity, under the supervision of our expert faculty, to accrue experience in the Queens College Autism and Developmental Disabilities Center for Evidence-Based Services (QC-ACES). We seek a faculty member who will maintain our high quality education by contributing to teaching, mentoring, supervising, and conducting research with students in our graduate and undergraduate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, The candidate will bring a program of research and practice, broadening experience opportunities and serving as the context for student thesis.

The faculty member will also actively participate in service to the department including committees, administrative, supervisory, and other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst doctoral level (BCBA-D)

  • New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)

  • New York State Licensed Psychologist or Licensure-eligible

  • Experience teaching graduate level courses in behavior analysis

  • Program of behavior analytic research that has the potential to support masters student involvement in research (thesis) and clinical activities (supervised experience).

  • Supervision training meeting Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) guidelines

  • At least one year of experience providing supervision

  • Potential for external funding

  • Experience or the potential to conduct research and/or direct clinical services with underserved populations who may not have had access to behavior analytic services.

  • Track record of teaching, supervising, and/or supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

COMPENSATION

$90,357-$99,532
