Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Quarryville, Pennsylvania

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. Your primary role will be to ensure the accurate, reliable, and timely processing of payable invoices and maintaining vendor files. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary • Review and code all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment • Verify and monitor all vendor statements • Print and maintain all accounts payable reports and documents • Assist in monthly closings; reconcile the accounts payable and close • Perform additional duties as required • Use accounting software systems to enter vendor invoices into the accounting system • Reconcile accounts and perform auditing tasks • Handle automated clearing house operations and ensure accuracy in account coding • Conduct accrual accounting and manage accounting functions. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services.

• Knowledge of Concur.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Understanding and experience in accounting functions.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP).

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting.

• Experience with auditing.

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH).

• Proficiency in account reconciliation.

• Ability to code accounts accurately.

• Experience in financial services and enterprise resource planning.

• Good understanding of automated clearing houses.

• Ability to reconcile accounts effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Commitment to ongoing detail oriented development and learning.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
