Responsibilities You will install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial or domestic high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems and equipment. You will install, modify, and repair new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam heating, steam generation, and hydraulic systems. You will plan and lay out installation, repair, and/or modification of high-pressure piping systems and equipment, applying and interpreting information in blueprints, charts, and sketches. You will troubleshoot/inspect high-pressure piping systems and equipment and determine needs for modification and/or repair to insure proper and safe operation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to do the work of the position without normal supervision performing common tasks including: installing, modifying, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial or domestic high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
