ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company Assistant CM/Asset Manager in Pyeongtaek-si, South Korea

Location - Onsite, Camp Humphreys - South Korea

Responsible for configuration item management during entire software development lifecycle. Ensures compliance with applicable policies and standards by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations and system updates. Performs audits on processes and configuration items and supports process improvements. Responsible for interfacing with internal and external hosting facilities and working with Technical and Management stakeholders to support and apply all corporate and government security configuration management policies, standards, processes, procedures, tools, and work aids.

  • Creates Baseline Configurations based on Configuration Management Plan and inputs from team members. Works with team members and management to document the interim baseline, which includes the list of documents that contain operational system CIs (i.e. Hardware and software) and documentation CIs.

  • Identifies and documents Configuration Items (CIs) with program members to include software, hardware, deliverables, documentation and processes as needed.

  • Supports Configuration Management System as subject matter expert or administrator, typically using tools such as TFS, Jira and SharePoint.

  • Defines, generates and supports delivery of release baselines. This includes not only release packages but supporting the development and test environments and data sets that are used for the development, testing and delivery processes. Gathers metrics on release baselines.

  • Tracks Change Requests by working with Change Control Boards (CCBs) and Requirements Analyst to capture change requests in Configuration Management System. Responsible for entering CCB change request decisions, assignments, and notes within the Configuration Management System.

  • Controls Configuration Items. Works with program teams to identify and track documentation CI gaps and bring to closure.

  • Establishes and maintains records in Configuration Management System for project change items.

  • Performs configuration audits at the team level and supports configuration metrics and audits and higher levels. Audits team configuration activities for compliance to approved practices based on project’s configuration management plan, division policies and ASM’s AIMM.

  • Provides recommendations to improve the baseline configuration intake process and procedures and deliver Baseline Configuration Intake Process Recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 2-5 years overall related experience in planning, developing, documenting, and executing a configuration management and change control program; with 2 years of experience in configuration identification, including establishing Security, Functional, Allocated, and Product Baselines; Configuration Control; Configuration Status Accounting; and Physical Configuration Audits; evaluating drawings, manuals, and training documentation. Background as a developer or tester is beneficial.

  • Experience with application of standard file naming conventions and the use of a logical directory structure for storing documentation.

  • Flexibility working in an environment that is in flux with the capability to handle unstable requirements when necessary.

  • Desire to work on the ground floor of an evolving configuration management organization, providing configuration management expertise to assist with the organization's maturation.

  • Customer-service oriented with a teamwork mentality.

  • Must be conscientious and self-motivated.

  • Experience with complete software development lifecycles (both agile and waterfall) to include all aspects specified in responsibilities section from conception phase through development until delivery.

  • Experience with a CM tool such as Jira, CLEARCASE, RAZOR, or TFS

Compensation Ranges

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
