Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Shipping Clerk in Puyallup, Washington

Job Summary A Shipping Clerk's responsibilities include recording every detail of the order, from packing items into containers to labeling them. They are accountable for ensuring that each shipment gets out in full and on time. Attention to detail is critical to avoiding shipping errors. Standard hours of operation MondayFriday 8am-5pm with no travel required. Duties and Responsibilities: • Pulls orders and stages products and/or loads containers. • Complete PO's • Obtain and process product orders accurately, and on time. • Facilitate accurate inventory by ensuring adherence to the local guidelines for shipments and inventory of finished goods and/or packaging and labels. • Maintain accurate records by computer or by paper. • Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers. • May assist to investigate inventory discrepancies. • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems. • Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Proven work experience as a Shipping Clerk or similar role • Forklift certification • Ability to work with a team. • Ability to follow written and oral instructions, procedures, and guidelines. • Ability to lift items and containers up to 50 pounds. • Flexibility to work different hours throughout the week as needed. • Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: • Required: o High School Diploma or GED required. o One (1) year in-house production, shipping or material handling experience. Working Conditions: • Exposure to all weather conditions to include high heat, extreme colds, rain, snow, ice, and wind. • Fast pace congested material handling equipment traffic. • Potential for a drafty work area. • Chemical exposure - handlin g of pallets, cans, and boxes of adhesive, handling of raw material chemicals. • Pinch hazard from moving mechanical parts on forklift, truck doors, etc. • Occasionally work in high places using a safety cage Note to Washington applicants: Per the state's Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $20.10-$30.15/per hr. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
