Aerotek Foam Head Machine Operator in Puyallup, Washington
Description: Foam Head Machine Operator
Candidates working with Insulfoam materials. All candidates must come in with the ability to utilize a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch. They will work in departments such as Cutting, Packaging, and Recycling. Candidates will work closely with foam and will provide specific customer requirements for each department. All candidates must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs.+, use a tape measure, and operate a box knife to cut product.
Shift: Day Shift (Monday - Friday) 6:00am – 2:30pm | Hourly Starting Pay: $24.82 hourly
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, operate and maintain foam head area.
Check temperature and fluid level of head part cleaner.
Prepare and changing of head parts, nozzles and injectors.
Preparing facer rolls and doing facer splices
Use of SAPI. Enter data and reading as outlined in document.
Inspect and maintain proper chemical laydown.
Communicate with other operators and supervisor on start-up and during production run.
Maintain head parts and associated equipment.
Produce product to specification with the use of operator run logs
Changing chemical totes
Shimming laminator
Housekeeping of Plant inside and out.
Assist in training of new team members
Support facer splices / facer change overs
Fill in other areas of the plant as required
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
Knowledge and Certified in Lock-out Tag-out Program
Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products.
Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant’s general safety policies.
Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
Ability to operate mobile equipment safely
Working Conditions:
Activities occur inside and insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures
Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
Noise of industrial machinery
Typically, 40 hours per week with overtime as required
Fast paced 24/7 operations
