Title and Summary

Senior Software Engineer-1

As a Senior Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of our products and services. We seek an individual with deep computer science knowledge and a good understanding of network stacks. We expect that you have an aptitude for innovative solutions, are familiar with modern technologies such as event-driven architectures, gRPC protocol, Golang, or Java JDK 17, and are proficient in various authentication and authorization models, such as JWT and OAuth. In that case, you might be the ideal candidate for us.

Qualifications:

Deep Computer Science Foundation: Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity.

Full Network Stack Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of network layers, particularly on gRPC.

Golang or Java Expertise:

Proficiency in Java, specifically with features and functionalities in JDK 17, and a focus on multithreading.

Comprehensive understanding of memory management, garbage collection mechanisms, and optimization techniques.

Hands-on experience in performance tuning and optimization of applications, including profiling tools.

Event-Driven Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing event-driven systems.

CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Security:

Understanding of security best practices, including but not limited to, secure coding, data protection, and threat modeling.

Proficiency in various authentication and authorization models, such as JWT, OAuth, and more.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
