Overview

The Network Products team accountable for Mastercard’s Core Network initiatives.

The Network Solutions program leverages Mastercard’s current & new switch and Edge platform to build new services, deliver value to the customers and generate new sources of revenues.

This position will join Clearing Enhancement Product Development team, will partners with the cross-functional global stakeholders: Product Management, Engineering – Stream & Network solutions, Business Operation, Customer delivery, Product Operations and others.

As Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will:

Elicit and decompose business requirements into platform requirements and user stories

Coordinate internal forums to collect and identify feature-level development opportunities

Contribute near-term input (quarterly) for the platform product portfolio and roadmap, prioritizing the backlog while defining the acceptance criteria for user stories

Recommend trade-off decisions on platform product features/depth of features/backlog items

Use runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop into the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests

Owns and manage product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams

Enable self-service support and/or work to reduce overhead

Make use of research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to understand the platform and business needs for a platform product and inform the backlog

Coordinate with interdependent teams on platform product requirements

Keeps close to the design of the user experience

Review product demo against acceptance criteria for the feature set

Prepare launches and monitors platform performances, adoption, and operational health for feature sets

Support and participate in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature

Stay aligned with GTM plans for the feature set

Identify issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues

Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

Deep understanding of cards processing, clearing lifecycle, Interchange Rate Designator derivation.

Hands on knowledge on interpreting and analyzing clearing, reconciliation and operational reports.

Good knowledge of authorization and clearing processes, 4 party model, and of ISO 8583 and ISO 200022 messaging.

Problem solving and pragmatic mindset, analytical skills, attention to documentation.

Be able to forge a path forward by navigating the constraints and the complexity of the ecosystem to leverage. Tenacity, exploration, analysis.

Like to dive deep into the operational characteristics of the product

Accountability, sense of urgency, care, passion for the domain.

Be creative in enhancing solutions, drive knowledge management through documentation discipline.
