Roles and Responsibilities

QMS

  • Own and manage Quality Management System and Regulatory approvals related to product.• Manage Quality Metrics of the organization including COQ, FPY, DPU, Escaping Defects, Customer Issue Resolution, On-Time Qualification etc.• Work closely with Engineering Team to manage digitization of key quality metrics, deployment of Quality module in MES etc. and support Lean initiatives (re-layout/ resource optimization/ automationetc)• Shall be familiar with quality requirements across commodities including castings, forgings, fabrication, machining, child part assembly and high-level assembly• Manage Weekly/ Monthly Operating Rigor with customers and own wing to wing quality metrics.

  • Manage QMS processes deployment, monitor process performances & identify improvementneeds• Configuration management, control of QMS documents, records and audit artifacts• Use risk-based approach to develop audit program, plan and execute audit/assessment through complete PDCA cycle.• Manage the QMS audit/assessment nonconformity database, provide detailed analysis of nonconformities

  • Arrange periodic audit performance meetings within the business and with Certification Bodies• Maintain the Internal auditors’ database and undertake auditor development activities.• Support business specific QMS deployment working with respective Management Representativeand manage QMS risks

Operational

  • Set mechanism to Check defects/issues on assembly line (in-production QC)

  • Identify & resolve supplier issues.

  • Identify & resolve process quality issues.

  • d. Act as SPOC for customer inspection /feedback for Renewable Business

  • Manage process improvement projects using GEMBA principles.

  • Lead HPT for Renewables Assembly line & coach team

  • MRB & RTV reduction

  • Losses / COQ reduction and improvement

  • Driving improvement projects with CFTs

Managerial

  • Engineering Procure Construct tendering and project execution phases. Verify contractual and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and have maximized customer satisfaction and profitability. Establish and execute project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance with contract. Ensure customer quality requirement, Feedback of Experience (FOE)/Lessons Learned are taken into account in the tender proposal to avoid deviation and to continually improve execution processes.

  • A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Quality & QA Engineering with 8-12years experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Mechanical or Electrical specialization from an accredited university or college
