Oracle Principal Product Strategy Manager, Cloud Operations in PUNE, India

Job Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Job Description

SaaS Business Continuity And Disaster Recovery Product Strategy team provides resiliency, Business Continuity and Disaster recovery governance and oversight to more than 40 SaaS services hosted by Oracle Corporation on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. SaaS BC and DR program rolls up to Global Risk Management and Resiliency Program. Our team is responsible for making sure that All SaaS Services hosted have a robust Disaster Recovery posture to meet customer commitments. We demonstrate the DR capability by executing multiple DR tests across services supported by a number of documents forming DR kit. Our team interacts with various operations teams, compliance and regulation teams. We also participate in various audits based on standards across the globe.

We continuously strive to improve the DR capability of our services by studying architectures, evaluating industry competition and better alternatives for various aspects that impact disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Various SaaS Operations, engineering and DevSecOps teams to prepare and maintain DR Kit documentation, architecture diagrams.

  • Conduct technical assessment of business and technology units on a periodic basis to determine adherence to cloud stadndards and identfiy potential gaps.

  • Provide recommendations for enhancements and potential complementary solutions.

  • Lead and facilitate DR tests including tabletop tests and End to End Functional DR Tests.

  • Prepare and publish Test reports.

  • Work with DevSecOps teams for initiatives to enhance our DR posture continuously.

  • Work with internal audit, compliance and regulations teams to provide and evidences related to Disaster Recovery posture.

  • Participate external Audits for various standards and regulations.

  • Participate periodical activities like Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Planning Documentation.

  • Participate customer facing meetings and represent SaaS BC/DR team

Required Qualification / Skills

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent from Reputed college / University.

  • Knowledge of Cloud computing and exposure to at least one of the leading Cloud Platforms like OCI, AWS, GCP etc.

  • Deep Technical understanding of architectures of enterprise class SaaS Services on Cloud

  • Good understanding of Backup and Recovery mechanisms

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • DevSecOps knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA

  • Good working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel.

  • Program Management

Desirable Qualification / Skills

  • Certification in ITIL, CBCI, CBCP,MBCP,MBCI, ISO 27001, ISO22301

  • Knowledge of various standards and/or Regulations like MeiTY, NIST, FedRAMP, GDPR
