Oracle Network Systems Analyst in PUNE, India

Job Description

We are looking for a network analyst with a solid technical background to help us transform the corporate network. You will be responsible for the delivery and operation of critical employee connectivity services. You will work with peers, management, and project managers to deliver solutions, maintain network services, and provide field support for the Network operations and engineering team. You should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver. You should be comfortable tackling new challenges that develop your skills. You should be able to travel to complete network hardware installations and perform other hands-on work at regional offices.

Experience

General

  • Good written and verbal English interpersonal skills

  • Optimally connect with people on both a technical and non-technical level

  • Ability to work with a global, remote workforce

  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work in a pressured production environment while not compromising on the quality of the service provided

  • A focus on customer service / happiness.

Specific

  • 2+ years of work experience with Data Center Infrastructure

  • 2+ years of work experience with Cable Management

  • Hands on experience with network hardware installation and maintenance

  • Knowledge of network cabling standards and practices

  • Basic understanding of network protocols and configurations

  • Strong Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills (optional)

  • CCNA / CCNP Security OR Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) or equivalent

  • Practical experience developing and running scripts or other automation technologies

  • Technical understanding and practical application of network protocols and technology

  • VPN – IPSEC and SSL

  • Firewalls and load balancers, security policy management

  • Network / Security monitoring tools such as: SNMP, MTRG, Prometheus and Grafana etc.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure and/or GCP (including Networking)

  • Technical understanding and practical application of security support

  • Technical understanding and practical application of DevOps

  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery & Deployment Tools

  • Network as Code strategy

  • Familiarity of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS infrastructure/environments

  • Integration technologies (APIs)

  • Scripting experience in Ansible, Python, Terraform, and others

Career Level - IC2

Responsibilities

  • Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain network devices.

  • Cable Management: Manage Structures cabling system, ensure organization and adherence to standards.

  • Rack and Stack: Physically install and coordinate equipment within racks in network room.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues or/and connectivity problems.

  • Equipment Deployment: Deploy new equipment according to project requirements and technical specification.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate record of hardware inventory, configuration, and changes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers from operations/engineering and other support team like facilities team for overall infrastructure needs.

  • Physical Security: Implement and maintain physical security measures for equipment and network room environments.

  • Vendor Management: Maintain database of various vendors with details like contact person, telephone nos., critical issue matrix, response, and resolution time commitments. Logging calls and coordination with Oracle infrastructure Vendors (Product Support/OEM) for call closure and updates.

  • Travel to complete hands-on tasks at different office locations globally
